Valknut | Enamel Pin

  • £10.00
This geometric symbol recreated by Sean Parry of Sacred Knot Tattoo is most strongly connected ancient Scandinavia. Found carved into wood and stone, it’s original meaning and true name is lost to us. The name ‘valknut’ is a Victorian connection to the word.
The symbol has nine points. This number was extremely reversed by the ancient Norse and shows up in mythology, history and archaeology again and again. Three threes.
Material & Make

Our pins are crafted in solid metal with enamel detailing and a sturdy pin for security of closure and longevity.

About The Artist

Sean Parry is the founder and main artist at Sacred Knot Tattoo. Having grown up in North Wales on a mountain peninsula called the Great Orme, his love of celtic and Norse culture, history and art fuels his tattooing and painting. He specialises in celtic and norse neo-traditional dotwork, aiming to capture the magic of knotwork and spirals that the ancient inhabitants of the North where also so fond of.
