This bracelet is a collaboration between Asgard and Sean Parry of Sacred Knot Tattoo. Capturing the intrinsic elements of Celtic linear art mixed with the fierceness of the Nordic beasts, this crossover style is called Hiberno-Norse.
This particular piece is a modern creation designed by Sean Parry, however, this crossover style did also occur in the Viking age, especially in the regions surrounding the Irish sea where the cultures will have met more frequently.
Please be aware, this bracelet depicting two hunting dogs has been cast in pewter and making lots of adjustments can cause damage. We designed the bracelet to be worn loosely and once in the correct shape can be slid on and off your wrist without additional bending of the metal.
Material & Make
Each piece of jewellery has been hand cast to a shining finish by the artisans at Asgard in their workshop in York.
When adjusting to the shape of your arm, please bend slowly with gentle and even pressure using the heads as well (rather than having all the pressure on the middle of the bracelet). Once fitted, do not adjust further.
We would also suggest avoiding wearing the bracelet in showers and pools as chemicals and soaps can cause the metal to tarnish faster.
About The Artist
Sean Parry is the founder and main artist at Sacred Knot Tattoo. Having grown up in North Wales on a mountain peninsula called the Great Orme, his love of celtic and Norse culture, history and art fuels his tattooing and painting. He specialises in celtic and norse neo-traditional dotwork, aiming to capture the magic of knotwork and spirals that the ancient inhabitants of the North where also so fond of.
