Runestone Forest Scene | Hand Printed Fine Art

Design

This piece is part of a series inspired by the historic sites where rune and pictures stones from the Viking Age still stand. It's been recreated in dotwork pointilism by Dyrs Hjarta Art to capture the ambience that these landmarks create. While the natural world never changes, the achievements and creations of humankind shift through time.

Through her work, Dyrs Hjarta Art offers a glimpse into the mind of an artist immersed in modern Nordic and Celtic lands. Through her daily work, Gloria recreates historic designs with a modern relevance for clients in her tattoo chair.

If you opt for a print with a red runestone, these have been finished by hand by Dyrs Hjarta herself.

About The Artist

Gloria Notarangelo, known in her work as Dyrs Hjarta Art, commands attention with her bold linework and traditional methods of dotwork. Her knowledge of Nordic artistry allows her to create imagery based on the historical artifacts she has admired over the years, bringing to life traditional styles and symbolism in order to tell stories through her work. To friends and family she is known as a nurturing plant-lover, though she is most often wielding a tattoo gun as a full-time professional artist with Sacred Knot Tattoo in North Wales. You’ll find handcrafted goods, original paintings, prints, pins, and jewellery by Gloria on Northern Fire.
