Design

Odin, the father of the gods, was one of the main figures of the Norse pantheon. He was feared and respected, associated with wisdom and poetry but also death and war. He would sometimes resemble an old wanderer and go on quests on his own. From the stories that survived to the modern day, we can easily tell that Odin is a god who does anything it takes to obtain what he's looking for no, matter how. He is a very enigmatic figure and also a trickster so he must have been a terrifying figure for the Scandinavian population. This is not to be confused with the way Christians used to fear and worship their god.

This print was created from a drawing by Dyrs Hjarta Art. Within the symbolic design, Odin wanders with his two ravens Huginn and Muninn (Thought and Memory) and his two wolves Geri and Freki (the ravenous or the greedy one). He wields his spear Gungnir, crafted by the dwarves. We have reproduced a limited number of these on high quality paper. The original piece still hangs in the Sacred Knot Tattoo Studio in Llandudno, Wales.

Material & Make

The artwork you will receive has been printed locally using high quality inks and paper to maintain integrity and quality of colour and image.

Your print will arrive on 300gsm Cotton paper and should be handled with care. It’s preferable to only touch the edges and we recommend mounting these in a frame behind glass.
