"Gramr" translates to 'wrath' in Old Norse.

Also known as Gram, Gramr is the sword that plays a large part in the Volsunga Saga and has been depicted by Vitor Gonzalez. Odin himself nails it to the trunk of the gigantic oak Barnstokkr, promising that the sword will be the property of any man capable of withdrawing it from the tree. Only Sigmund, son of Volsung, will be able to do it. After many adventures Gramr will be the sword that, managed by Sigurd son of Sigmund, will kill the dragon Fafnir.

The artwork you will receive has been printed locally using high quality inks and paper to maintain integrity and quality of colour and image.

About The Artist

Vítor González is well-known for his work in the Nordic and Celtic artistic communities, having authored The Art Of The North. His work to create this book and the incredible commissioned pieces of art he’s crafted are testament to the extensive research and care with which he illustrates. There are few artists that can match the intent with which Vítor works, which is why we are honoured to carry his impactful book as well as several art pieces in print here.

As well as producing incredible art, Vitor selflessly promotes the work of others and has created the C3LT4TRAD page to share Celtic and Traditional music with the community.
