The patterns of the Oseberg ship define what we understand of Viking Age art. It's massive prow, with a large spiraling beast head, has creatures wound up the side. These individuals inspire viewers to try to imagine how strange and unique the Viking Age was in its mythology and lore. Though subtle in comparison to the great art found within the rest of the burial, there is no mistaking them for another Viking Age find. Their unique composure and chain like structure has captured the minds of many artists and Nordic artisans since their discovery.

Material & Make

The design of these belts is created by Ash to feature ancient designs. They are made by laser-cutting the pattern into the leather. They are genuine leather.

The buckle itself is solid metal with snaps, so it can be changed out by the owner if another buckle is desired.

About The Artist

Known as Villkat Arts in his tattoo work, Ash is celebrated for his ability to communicate the shamanistic and spiritual components of the ancient world through his artistry. With a focus on Celtic and Nordic symbolism, Ash’s intention and energy shines through in each of his works, creating a connection between the viewer (or wearer) and the depth of meaning within these art styles. Size & Dimensions

The length of the Oseberg belt is almost 107 cm (42 inches) from the end to the edge of the buckle. It will fit a small waist, approximately 33-36 inches (around 83-94 cm) give or take a bit.

This is a small size, please account for the fact that 42 inches does not mean that it will fit a 42 inch waist, that is the length of the belt itself.

We recommend measuring the belts you own and that fit you before you decide to purchase this item.
